The Digislider is the Digislider Add-On with a 100cm long IGUS solid 16-60 rail and carriage. All you need is a tripod head and a camera and you are ready to go.  It is solid as a rock, and will handle all terrain and weather.

It enables smooth and accurate motion via a hand crank (The carriage can also be moved up and down the the rail by hand).

It does exclude the Digislider Fast and Slow Motors (for video and time lapse) which easily slip on with minimal effort enabling a fully motorised dolly slider in seconds with the Digislider Controller (sold separately).

The Digislider is well-suited for small DSLRs to larger cameras with lenses, microphones, and other gear (about 10 kgs of weight in total for easy movement).

It now has new wider precision engineered shafts with new German engineered polymer low coefficient of friction, low wear shaft bearings.

The rail now has 5 x 3/8 inch tripod thread and 12 x 1/4 inch light stand thread. This allows numerous varieties of attachments along with the tripod or light stands. It also allows for a more sturdy attachment when using a single tripod as both the 3/8 and 1/4 inch screws on the tripod head plate can be utilised, either way to allow more sturdy vertical shots or tilted horizontal shots.

1 x Allen Key Set

Allows control of the speed (with the knob) and direction (with the switch) of the Digislider Motors.  It is a real-time controller, but can be used for basic continuous timelapse work, with an external intervalometer/remote timer.

It can be powered with a variety of external power sources from 4.5 volts up to 15 volts like our 12 volt lithium battery pack, a 9 volt battery, or a number of different battery holder combinations with a snap terminal like our 8 x AA Battery Holder.  The lead that comes with the Digislider Controller will snap onto the battery snap terminal and it plugs straight into the controller.

The new noise attenuated power motors are here and are replacing all the first generation motors. A new steel encased gearbox means there is a considerable reduction in motor noise. The new metal gearbox incorporates sleeve bearings, enabling the high torque transfer to be transmitted through the gearbox, resulting in 45% more torque than our previous motors.

They easily slip on and screws securely to the end of the Digslider.

The Digislider motors, when attached, can operate the Digislider in a horizontal, vertical and upside down/overhead way. The motors are well suited to move small DSLRs to larger cameras with lenses, microphones, and other gear (about 10 kgs/22lbs maximum for horizontal movement and 5 kg/11 lbs maximum for vertical movement).

 

Digislider Fast Motor

(for video)

The Digislider Fast Motor is designed for video use and with the Digislider Controller will allow a top speed of 15 seconds per metre, using a 12v external battery, or 25 seconds per metre, using a 9V power source. Its slowest speed is 3 minute per metre.

Digislider Slow Motor

(for time-lapse photography)

The Digislider Slow Motor is designed for time-lapse photography use and with the Digislider Controller will allow a top speed of 5 minutes per metre, using a 12v external battery, or 5 minutes per metre, using a 9V battery source. Its slowest speed is 40 minutes per metre, but with 6V external power, you can get up to 4 hours per metre.

It can also be used with the MX2 controller by Dynamic Perception which will enable:

• Shoot-Move-Shoot (Interleaved)

• Extended run time (up to days between moves)

• From 0.01″/0.25mm to 30.9″/78.5mm travel between shots

• “Simple” mode lets you specify travel in real-time

• Manual Motor Control

Turn your Glidetrack HD slider into a hand crank system with optional motorised upgrade for video and time laspe with the Digislider Fast and Slow Motors and the Digislider Controller. The Digislider can be bought without the IGUS 16-60 rail if you already own one, or wish to buy one elsewhere. The two components slip on the ends of the WS-16-60 DryLin Rails by IGUS (same as Glidetrack HD rails) and the belt threads through a clip and is attached on the bottom of the carriage.
