Digislider

The Digislider is the Digislider Add-On with a 50cm, 75cm or 100cm long IGUS® solid 16-60 rail and carriage.  All you need is a tripod head and a camera and you are ready to go.

It is solid as a rock, and will handle all terrain and weather.

It enables smooth and accurate motion via a hand crank (The carriage can also be moved up and down the the rail by hand).

It does exclude the Digislider Fast and Slow Motors (for video and time lapse) which easily slip on with minimal effort enabling a fully motorised dolly slider in seconds with the Digislider Motor Controller and/or Digislider Shoot-Move-Shoot Controller (sold separately).

The Digislider is well-suited for small DSLRs to larger cameras with lenses, microphones, and other gear (about 10 kgs of weight in total for easy movement).

It now has new wider precision engineered shafts with new German engineered polymer low coefficient of friction, low wear shaft bearings.

The rail now has 5 x 3/8 inch tripod threads and 12 x 1/4 inch threads. This allows numerous varieties of attachments along with the tripod or light stands. It also allows for a more sturdy attachment when using a single tripod as both the 3/8 and 1/4 inch screws on the tripod head plate can be utilised, either way to allow more sturdy vertical shots or tilted horizontal shots.

Motor Controller MK II

The Motor Controller features:

• Real-Time bi-directional controller.
• Reduced high pitch motor noise

• Internal 9v Battery compartment

The Motor Controller MKII is a real-time continuous motion controller and allows control of the Motors speed (with the knob) and direction (with the switch).  Speeds with the Fast Motor will be 15 seconds to 3 minutes per metre with a 12 volt power source and 20 secs to 4 mins with a 9 volt power source.

Time Lapse Controllers

Shoot-Move-Shoot Controller

The Shoot-Move-Shoot Controller features:

•Time-lapse from 5 minutes up to 24 hours long per metre (48 hours with the 4 x AA battery holder - optional extra)
•From 0.04"/1mm to 30.9"/78.5mm travel between shots
•Shoot-move-shoot mode (for HDR and long exposures)
•Set-up a time lapse in seconds
•Plug-in and go

The Shoot-Move-Shoot Controller triggers the camera for a set amount of time and then moves the motor for a set distance; doing this on a repetitive loop. Perfect for long exposure time lapses like night time lapses.  One dial will set the exposure (if in bulb mode) or the interval time (if in manual mode). The other dial sets the time the motor runs between each exposure. Just plug it into your camera, plug in the motor and the power source and you are ready to go.

Remote Timer (optional)

The Remote Timer will trigger your camera's shutter at regular intervals.  Many people own an external triggering system already, or have an inbuilt intervalometer.

Optional Extras

The 4 x AA battery holder will allow up to 48 hours per metre on the Slow Motor when used with the Motor Controller.  It will however reduce the power by half resulting in slower movement of the motor but will limit load capacity to 5kg horizontally and 2.5kg vertically.

12 volt Rechargeable Lithium Battery.  It will power the controller, which will power the motors, for approximately 10 hours, after a full charge. Comes with an EU charger.

8 x AA battery holder.  Has an On/Off switch & lets you control the power right at the source without unplugging. Batteries not included. Use Alkaline AA's for a 12V 3000-4000mAh power supply, or rechargeable NiMH for 2000mAh 9.6V supply.

The Adjustable Feet easily attach to the bottom of the rail via 3/8 thumb screws, or to the Digislider Add-On blocks using the rubber feet. The legs are individually adjustable to allow stable shots on uneven surfaces. The rubber feet grip to most surfaces without a problem. Strong, light weight, aluminium support with steel legs.

The Quick Release Mount will enable you to release the motor with one turn of a dial, which will allow much quicker motor changes and a faster change over to the hand crank. The Quick Release Motor Mount comes with the Quick Release Motor Coupler that attaches to the shaft.

The Digislider Kill Switch has been developed to fit into the latest Digislider’s pulley housing. It automatically stops the device when the carriage reaches the end. As soon as you flip the direction switch on your Digislider Controller, it will start working again.
